About this speaker

Harley is passionate about nutrient-dense, scratch-made cooking that strikes the right balance between gourmet and approachable. Committed to sourcing the finest local ingredients and preparing them with care, he and the Farm to School team continually seek innovative ways to make the best food accessible to everyone.

As a chef and food activist, Harley draws inspiration from his experiences working in restaurants and on organic farms in Oregon, where he deepened his connection to nature, food, and community. Serving as Galley Coordinator for the Schooner Adventuress in Puget Sound, WA, he became dedicated to expanding access to high-quality local and organic food for children. Harley holds a B.S. in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of Vermont.

FOOD — What is it? How do we grow it? What is edible? What do we really want to eat? Join me in fields and farms as we figure it out! We are a community-based farm, where the relationship between humans, animals and soil is brought together to bring vitality to the Earth.
