Noah Elbers

Founder, Orchard Hill Breadworks Founder Orchard Hill Breadworks, voted one of top 100 bakeries in America

About this speaker

Noah Elbers was introduced to baking as a teen when a family friend and neighbor built a backyard wood fired oven. Inspired by that oven, he constructed his own in 1997 beside the barn that sat at the center of the family homestead where his parents had planted and tended an orchard since the 1970s. Orchard Hill Bredworks has been baking bread for the community ever since. Still using exclusively wood fired ovens, the Breadworks is both a thriving, striving small business and community hub, employing twenty, hosting a year round, residential apprenticeship program for aspiring professional bakers and producing thousands of naturally leavened breads every week.
