About this Talk
Maine recently passed the Maine Food Sovereignty Act, which made it legal for people to use their kitchens and backyards to grow, produce and sell food to their neighbors.
Wyoming became the second state to pass similar legislation- the Wyoming Food Freedom Act- which has led to lots of new for small artisanal farm and food businesses.
Thomas Massey, of Kentucky, has introduced an amendment to the constitution:
“The right of the people to grow food and to purchase food from the source of their choice shall not be infringed and Congress shall make no law regulating the production and distribution of food products which do not cross state lines.”
We'll hear from two of the most influential people in the food freedom movement as they talk about where things are and where they're headed.
